Just Thinking, Rant Hill

Spoken Freely

People who mistake being “politically correct” as “people being too sensitive” or the dreaded “overly sensitive” (which is sort of like being well done; how much past done is well? Do you mean burnt?) I digress; are probably the same people asking a rape survivor what she was wearing or how much she was drinking before she was attacked.

You’re the same people asking “why was he wearing a hoodie?” “Why was he in that neighborhood?” “Why didn’t she just comply”

Critical thinking would assist you in analyzing situations to deem course of verbal action.

There are certainly times when blunt speech is a requirement to reach your audience and make your point.

Being politically incorrect has its place.

Criticisms, poor grammar, and being unlearned shouldn’t be confused with political correctness.

Name calling and vitriol don’t make the cut.

Bigotry, misogyny, homophobia, religious intolerance and racism, are some areas where your mouth can get your back snapped. Your teeth tackled. Your neck bent. Your forehead framed. Your dome damaged. Your jaw locked. Ya wig split.

Politically Correct is simply a gentle guideline for not showing your ass or ignorance in every given situation.

Yes speech is free; but sadly it seems being polite in these days comes at a cost.

About The "SoKey" Experience

Each morning I wake I pour myself into a goblet, slowly inhaling the scent of my own faults, swirling them around the glass, allowing them to breath, then I sip, allowing my own inconsistencies to soak my tongue before swallowing. If I am tipsy from my own frailties - I'm less likely to become drunk on yours. -SoKey (introspection)
